The End of the Mayan Calendar
A project which began in collaboration with Dory Little, we researched the end date of the Mayan Calendar from both a social and scientific perspective. The idea of "the apocalypse" has always been captivating and consequently is a recurring theme in our literature, films and popular culture, but historically science has been quick to dismiss most of these cataclysmic theories. Our goal was to take a largely popular science and map it as objectively as possible.
The map has five components which interlock to tell the entire story, and they are described individually at the bottom.
